Fitness Watch World, you have to pay to get the most advanced features. Garmin, Belt, and Polarwatches smartwatches will cost you hundreds of dollars, if not more. The sports watch segment of $ 200 to $ 300 has received some attention in recent years, and Huawei is trying to release some niche with its latest smartwatch, the Huawei Watch GT 2e.

It offers all the fitness features that came with the original Watch GT2, now with a sporty design and low cost. But is it worth buying a cheap exercise watch with advanced features, or should all this be added to your Garmin or Suunto device? Find our review on Huawei Watch GT 2e.

Huawei Watch GT 2e Review Note: I have been using huawei smartwatch gt 2e for two weeks running Huawei’s LiteOS 1.0.1.20. This is by no means the latest smartwatch software, although Huawei assures us that the only key feature is not direct motion recognition. GT 2e was paired with the Google Pixel 4 XL during this review. Huawei has given Android the power of the Huawei Watch GT 2e Unit Review. The smartwatch is compatible with Android and iOS through the Huawei Health app, which is available on both sites, although we tested it on Android only.

Design and equipment: This is a great watch

This is the first time I have read one of the Huawei GT devices, and I have to say: I love it. The Huawei Watch GT2e is bigger and heavier than I expected, but not a dream balloon. However, I tend to feel my hand tighter than others that can be worn as I am not used to wearing such a large watch. It can be very common in people with small wrists. It hits my middle hand.

The larger design means that there is more space for a larger screen. The GT 2e’s 1.39-inch AMOLED screen is great and offers a lot of comparisons. I have never had trouble seeing the outside when I was running outside.

On the right side of the box are two buttons: one for the app list and the optional button. The buttons are in the same case as the Watch GT2, this design reduces your wrist friction while working. Unfortunately, you will not get a GT 2 speaker, so do not expect to receive Bluetooth calls from your hand.

Exercise and health monitoring: the saving grace

The Watch GT 2e really shines here. The GT 2e has all the standard sensors you can expect for moderate fitness tracking, including in-range GPS, heart rate sensor, speedometer, gyroscope, and more. It will monitor the steps you take, travel distance, active minutes, rest and active heart rate, pressure level, calories burned, climbing surfaces, and sleep – all normal items.

There are 15 GPS-enabled exercise routines available, including running, cycling, swimming, riding, and more. The watch uses these methods to give you detailed information about your route, speed, duration, calories burned, heart rate, cadence, and height.

GT 2e also supports direct motion recognition for six exercises: indoor/outdoor running, indoor/outdoor walking, elliptical, and driving.

The watch also has a total of 13 running courses available, allowing you to choose the race you need anytime. I like that Huawei has added a series of guided functions from slow to steady to fast.

The heart rate sensation proved to be good during my tests. The image below shows a 4.14-mile HIIT run with the GT 2e, Forerunner 245, and Wahoo Ticker X chest straps. (If you are wondering why the total running time between screens is so low, it means that the GT 2e is not labeled “Continue” on my tap after a quick break from the 11-13 minute mark.) Overall, GT 2e results in many cases very impressive, although it lacks others.

Smartwatch features: Between some and remote

In fact, the Huawei Watch GT 2e and all the other latest Huawei watches will not be the ones looking for the smartwatch. Huawei has made it one point to offer great battery life with many features. The GT 2e gives you the basics (and I mean just the basics), so keep that in mind before you classify it as a true smartwatch. ah.

You can get notifications on the GT 2e – and notifications come quickly – but they don’t work. You can read it, then throw it away. Normally, you can not push the message to expand, so it is impossible to read more than the subject of the email.

A bright spot here is a must in the form of music storage. You can store up to 500 songs on Huawei Watch GT 2e, Huawei has downloaded music blues. You can make the Huawei Health program (Fitbit, Garmin, and everyone else, note!) Not suitable for third-party music services.
