The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test). Previously, it was known as the All India Pre-Medical Examination (AIPMT). It is an entrance test for MBBS and BDS students seeking admission to medical and dental institutions in India.

Students compete for seats in medical or dental schools every year. The total number of seats available in India is 90,000, which includes MBBS and BDS colleges. Application Process of NEET 2022

Only applications filled out and submitted online will be accepted for NEET (UG) 2022. A candidate is allowed to submit only one application. Candidates must follow the directions given on the Information Bulletin and the NTA website.

Candidates who do not follow the instructions will be automatically disqualified. NTA will communicate with the candidates by emailing them at their registered email addresses or sending SMSes on their registered mobile numbers. Thus, candidates must guarantee that the email address and mobile number they provide through the online application form belong to them or their parents/guardians.

The process comprises three simple steps. Registration, filling out the application form, and finally, the payment. The procedure for filling out the NEET UG 2022 application form is given below.

Registration Process

A candidate must register before filling out the application form. To register, a candidate must visit the website neet.nta.nic.in. Now, on the new page that opens, click on Registration for NEET (UG) 2022. Next, click on New registration, which takes you to the instructions page. Please read the instructions carefully.

Once you have read these instructions, click on acknowledgment and then click on proceed. You will be taken to a new page. Fill out your details and address, pick a password, and submit. With this, you are now registered on the portal.

Filling Out the Application Form

Log in to your account using your registration number and password. Now enter the required information, such as date of birth, gender, nationality, state of eligibility, category, if you are a person with disabilities, identification type, identification number, mobile number, email ID, and security pin.

  • Language: The exam will be administered in various languages. These are English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
  • Examination centre: Candidates must select four exam cities from where the examination will be administered. The list of centres and the centre code are given in the prospectus. Fill out your choices.
  • Fill in your academic information: Students must correctly fill in their educational details. The status of passing/appearance, year of passing/appearance, and the code for NEET qualification must be provided. Make sure you have the details handy before starting the application process.

Fill in the state from which you qualified for this examination, schooling location, school/college type state, qualifying examinations district, the roll number, result mode for the school, board name, and the school or college address. Also, provide your school or college pin code and enter the security code in the box given.

  • Uploading the documents: Once you complete the NEET 2022 Application Form, the next step is to upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in the format given. Make sure the file size is within the guidelines defined by NTA.

 Payment for the Examination Fee

A dialog box asking you to pay the NEET 2022 application fee will appear on the screen after you have uploaded your documents according to the guidelines. Select Pay examination fee from the dropdown menu.

The application fee for NEET 2022 is not the same for everyone. The fee for different categories is different (General, OBC/ST/SC, and EWS). The fee for candidates from the General category (General/OBC) is Rs. 1,500/-, the fee for the general-EWS/OBC-NCL* class is Rs. 1400/, and the fees for SC/ST/PH candidates is Rs. 800/-.

The payment can be made using any of the following mediums:

  • Paytm
  • UPI

To pay the application fee, applicants must select a payment method and a payment source.

Candidates must verify that the credit or debit card they use for payment is valid. It is a good idea to check the account balance and have the relevant credentials handy before opting to complete the application form via net banking.
