In the West, Huawei is best known for its smartphones, but the company gets a lot of attention, including the Huawei Vision S TV.
The Vision S TV is interesting with what it does and doesn’t do. This is Huawei’s ‘Vision’ collection of smart TV with a high refresh rate and built-in sound system.
Huawei has decided to go its own way with the HarmonyOS interface, creating a base option for apps like Google TV and WebOS.
It is available in 65 and 55-inch sizes, and in UK currency at least, one of these sizes is expected to cost 500.
Design

Huawei is touting the Vision S as an affordable TV, but the design is higher quality for its (potential) price point.
The pins are well made, just like the finish of the TV’s bezel, although the Vision S isn’t as thin as other TVs (73mm deep) if you look at the wall mount.
There are pins on both ends, very easy to attach, just need to tighten a few screws. However, these pins sit on the edge, so the small stands can be an issue.
The second problem is that they don’t relieve too much. Installing a soundbar on the front can dim the display and IR receiver – not useful if you want to boost the sound.
Going from bottom to top, there is a magnetic connection on the back to connect the CCTV. There are several hitches (top and bottom) to find the best angle for MeeTime calls, works pretty well, I’ll get into that later.

The Vision S will be available in the UK first, but technically the model we’ve tested here is a Malaysian model before it’s released in the UK. However, the company is confident that a 65-inch version (possibly a 55-inch variant as well) will be priced in the region of £550 – and if it lives up to that wish, the Vision S will be one of the few. The most affordable version with a screen of its size on the market.
Accordingly, with the best of wishes in the world, we do not know what the price of the huawei vision s price will be in other markets. In fact, we’re not entirely sure which markets will get it and which won’t. Of course, as we know more we will update this information.

But before we get into them, let’s take a look at the common ones – and the ones that the Vision S doesn’t have.
There is no tuner, which makes the Huawei Vision S unlike TVs and larger smart screens. If you want Freeview or Freesat, you need a set-top box.
